At a height of 876 ft (highest vehicular bridge in Western Hemisphere and second in the world) the New River Gorge Bridge is home to a one-day festival involving base jumping and repelling. The appropriately named "Bridge Day" is the only day these activities are allowed and attracts over 80,000 people.
